About the Ohoopee System
The Ohoopee Regional Library System (ORLS) is located along the Ohoopee River in Southeast Georgia. We are home to Georgia’s State Vegetable, the Vidalia Sweet Onion. Our system formed in 1967 with a partnership between Tattnall and Toombs Counties. In 1974, Montgomery County joined ORLS, followed by Jeff Davis County in 2014. Today we serve a population of over 75,000 people with 6 locations in 4 counties.
Our Mission is to offer a full program of library services to all citizens of the participating counties in order to meet their informational, educational, and recreational needs.
